Wissensregion Düsseldorf actively promotes exchange and cooperation between science and business in order to develop innovative solutions for current challenges. Our aim is to create synergies and facilitate the transfer of knowledge through targeted networking initiatives and transfer projects.

A central element of our activities is the “Come & Cooperate” series of events. Here we bring researchers and companies together in half-day matching sessions to hold open-ended 1:1 discussions. Accompanied by funding advisors and innovation coaches, these meetings provide an excellent platform for initiating joint projects. Since the start in 2018, we have facilitated numerous successful collaborations and laid the foundation for further research projects.

This networking initiative promotes concrete and results-oriented exchange between companies and universities, which can lead to joint project applications and the supervision of theses. Since 2018, over 150 discussions and 40 funding consultations have been held, numerous funding applications have been submitted and theses and working students have been placed with companies. The digital implementation in 2021 also enabled the planning of student internships abroad and the exploration of further research projects in the economic field.

The sixth edition of “Come & Cooperate” will take place on November 6, 2024 at the IHK Düsseldorf. Once again, experts from renowned institutions such as Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, Heinrich Heine University and Forschungszentrum Jülich will be brought together. This format confirms the high demand and potential for technology-based cooperation and is an ideal platform for initial contacts and further cooperation.

Wissensregion Düsseldorf sees itself as a catalyst for knowledge and technology transfer and, through its initiatives, makes a significant contribution to strengthening the region’s innovative power. We cordially invite all interested parties to participate in our projects and events and to shape the future of the knowledge region together.
