Are you new to the region and want to make exciting contacts? Then ‘Düsseldorf meets International Talents’ is the right place for you! For the third time in a row, the Wissensregion Düsseldorf is inviting international students and researchers to take part in this special event on 3 December at the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf. The event will be held primarily in English, but there will be simultaneous translation into German.
Perhaps you have already taken part in a welcome event organised by your university or employer and are wondering what more you can gain from this event? Düsseldorf meets International Talents goes one step further: Here you will not only meet other international students and researchers, but also local representatives from authorities, business and the city society, who will introduce you to valuable tips and contact persons for your entry into life and work in Düsseldorf. The event offers you the opportunity to build important networks and talk directly to experts.
A highlight of the day will be the personal welcome by the city councillor Christian Zaum, as well as the interactive panel discussion on the topic of ‘How international talents can boost their career in Germany’, where you can put your questions directly to the responsible representatives. Representatives from the Immigration Office, the Employment Agency, a well-known Düsseldorf company and an international alumna who has been living and working in the region for some time will join you on the panel.
To ensure that the evening is not only informative but also inspiring, students from the Robert Schumann University, the duo Dafne, will provide an artistic backdrop. Another highlight: Deniz Ates, CEO of Whomoves, will give a motivating and practical keynote speech entitled ‘Networking like a Pro’ and show you how to get on and get ahead professionally and personally in Germany.
But that’s not all! After the event, you can discover Düsseldorf’s Old Town on a city tour, offered in German and English. Over a cosy hot drink at one of the Christmas markets, you will have the opportunity to deepen your conversations and make new friends.
