The innovation course, held for the first time in 2023 in cooperation with the FOM University of Applied Sciences and its Center for Innovation, Business Development & Entrepreneurship (CIBE), emerged from the Innovation Semester project. It pursues the core idea of interdisciplinarity under the motto: “We can learn best from people who think differently.” The course is aimed at anyone who wants to develop innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills. Participants work on prototypes and business models in a practical environment, thereby promoting their creativity and self-efficacy. The course offers an ideal platform for anyone who wants to turn their visions into tangible projects and strengthen the culture of innovation in the region.
In the Wissensregion Düsseldorf, sustainability is far more than just a modern buzzword. It is a dynamic approach that affects each and every one of us and calls on us to become active. This topic unites the members of the association and goes far beyond individual initiatives. It is the idea that true sustainable development can only be achieved through the simultaneous and equal pursuit of environmental, economic and social goals. This is reflected in all of the association’s activities and is a central component of our mission.
2024, the association has launched a social media campaign aimed at making the numerous initiatives and projects of stakeholders in the region visible. This campaign shows how diverse the approaches and solutions are that are being developed by various institutions and companies: From innovative start-ups developing sustainable technologies to educational institutions conducting research in the fields of sustainable development and environmental protection, all players are working on their part of the big picture.
We cordially invite all interested parties to participate in our projects, be it through active collaboration, by sharing knowledge and experience or by attending our network meetings and events. Only together can we successfully shape the path to a sustainable future that promotes innovation.
