The Verein zur Förderung der Wissensregion Düsseldorf e.V. reserves the right to make changes or additions to the information provided on this website at any time and without prior notice. Liability for links

This website contains links to third-party websites (‘external links’). The contents of these external links are outside the area of responsibility of the Verein zur Förderung der Wissensregion Düsseldorf e.V.. The Verein zur Förderung der Wissensregion Düsseldorf e.V. does not adopt these contents as its own. The websites of third parties are subject to the liability of the respective operators, so that we assume no liability for these external contents. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not recognisable at the time of linking. However, permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement, so that the Verein zur Förderung der Wissensregion Düsseldorf e.V. hereby expressly distances itself from all content of the linked pages that was changed after the link was created. Liability for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and in particular for damages resulting from the use or non-use of such information lies solely with the provider of the page to which reference is made and not with the person who refers to the respective publication via links. If the Verein zur Förderung der Wissensregion Düsseldorf e.V. becomes aware of illegal, unlawful or incorrect content on linked websites, the link will be removed immediately.

Contact the Düsseldorf Foreigners' Registration Office

1. Should I contact the Foreigners' Registration Office by e-mail or via the online form?

Both are possible.
However, we expressly request that you do not submit the same request via several portals at the same time, as this would result in an unnecessary multiplication of requests, which would slow down the processes.

2. Can I call the foreigners authority?

This is generally possible via the hotline (0211 - 8929036).
However, it is recommended that inquiries are sent in writing to the functional email address abh-backoffice@duesseldorf.de.

4. How do I get an appointment?

The Service Point of Office 54 will send you unsolicited appointments as soon as your application has been approved.

As a rule, other consultations are not possible.

5. Do the employees of the immigration office speak English?

Many of the employees speak English. However, there is no obligation to do so.

The official language is generally German.
If you do not speak German, you can arrange an interpreter for the appointment at your own expense.

6. I have submitted all the documents but have not yet received any feedback from the immigration office. What should I do? When can I expect an answer?

Please be patient in this case.
The Immigration Office will do its best to answer the numerous applications promptly.
Unfortunately, this is not always possible.
If further documents are required from you, the clerks will contact you without being asked.
