Breaking Down Barriers Together: Round Table at the Düsseldorf Immigration Office

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the Round Table for international students and researchers met for the first time directly at the Düsseldorf Immigration Office. The exchange between universities, administration, and the city shows that together hurdles can be overcome and new perspectives created. An important step toward a strong, international Düsseldorf region.

‘Make it in Germany’ Brings Successful Networking to the HHU Campus

On May 14, 2025, the English-language career event “Make it in Germany” took place on the campus of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU): a special networking breakfast for international students and researchers, jointly organized by HHU, the Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Düsseldorf), and the Wissensregion Düsseldorf. The aim of the event was to connect international talents with regional companies and to address key questions about starting a career in Germany.

International talents meet employers from the region: On May 14, 2025, the second networking event – this time as a breakfast format – “Make it in Germany: Trends in the German application process” will take place at Heinrich Heine University and we at Wissensregion Düsseldorf are delighted to be a co-organizer for the first time this year!

Review of the sixth edition of ‘Come & Cooperate’

The sixth edition of ‘Come & Cooperate’ took place at the IHK Düsseldorf on 6 November 2024. With over 100 discussions between universities, companies and non-profits, valuable connections and collaborations were once again created.

The renaming of the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research

Since August 27, 2024, the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research GmbH has officially had a new name: Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials GmbH – a significant step that reflects the change in the institute’s research.
We, the Wissensregion Düsseldorf, would like to congratulate the institute on this significant milestone.
