Wissensregion Düsseldorf – A magnet for international talent
The article recently published in the Rheinische Post (28.03.2023) highlights the forward-looking initiative of Wissensregion Düsseldorf, which has set itself the goal of keeping students and researchers from abroad in the region as skilled workers after completing their education.
This commitment, in cooperation with well-known companies such as Henkel, the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research Düsseldorf and the Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce, reflects the deep understanding and strategic orientation of the association, which is aware of the importance of education and knowledge as core pillars of regional development and location marketing.

The efforts to not only attract these talents, but also to retain them in the region in the long term, are manifested in a variety of projects.
These include improved integration programs, support in finding work and further training and the international “Welcome Day”, which took place for the second time last year.
These measures not only promote networking between international talent and potential employers, but also help to create a welcoming environment for international talent.

Wissensregion Düsseldorf proves that sustainable development and growth are possible through collaborative action and the pooling of interests.
This is a shining example of how education and knowledge can act as central pillars of regional development to enrich and strengthen not only the local economy, but also the social landscape.
